University of Nizhni Novgorod has signed Cooperation agreement with Guglielmo Marconi University

In January 2010, an official delegation of the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod visited Rome where an agreement was signed with Guglielmo Marconi University forming the basis for cooperation in the field of distance education under the program «Master of Business Administration» carried out in the form of parallel (simultaneous) studies under the main and additional programs of professional training implemented at the Russian university and certified by the delivery of the Italian University's diploma.

The delegation comprised: Prof. E.V.Chuprunov, UNN Rector, Prof. А.О. Grudzinskiy, UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Innovations in Education, Dr. Ilya Kuftyrev, Director of UNN International Office, and Prof. Galina Gospodarchuk, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Finance.

During the visit, organizational and methodological aspects of introducing electronic technologies of teaching and applications of didactic multimedia materials within the framework of education courses were explored.

Discussion topics also included user access to electronic educational resources, information and technical support for the educational process in the course of distance education programs in a number of study areas and specializations.

E-learning refers to the use of new or established technology and/or the creation of new learning material to be deployed both locally and at a distance. Through the utilization of e-learning, HEIs in both countries will be able to respond to the changing demands and opportunities for enhancing lifelong learning.

Italian colleagues presented to the members of the Russian delegation their views on the prospects of Russian-Italian scientific cooperation in the fields of economics, physics, biology, power engineering and environment research.
