Alexander Petrov, born in 1947.
Graduated in 1974 with honours from the Kuibyshev Faculty of the All-Union
Extramural Law Institute (AUELI) specializing in law.
In 1977 he completed a postgraduate program at the AUELI in Moscow.
In 1978 he defended his Candidate of sciences dissertation on the topic: General theory of law and its object ( the problem of interrelation of aspects of legal theoretical knowledge).
Work experience:
Since 1977 - instructor of the Vologda faculty of the AUELI;
Since 1986 - instructor of the Stavropol faculty of the AUELI;
Since 1988 - manager of the House of political education of the Stavropol
Territorial Committee of the CPSU;
Since 1990 - head of department of the Stavropol regional council of people's
deputies;
Since 1992 - head of the law department at the Stavropol State
University;
Since 1994 - Deputy Dean of the Law faculty at the Nizhni Novgorod
State University ( NNSU).
Since a 1997 - Dean of Law faculty at the Nizhni Novgorod
State University, Head of Department of constitutional and administrative law,
Faculty of Law at the Nizhni Novgorod State University.
Since 1999 Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of the NNSU.
He was elected:
Deputy of the Stavropol regional council of people's deputies;
Chairman of the permanent commission on national and ethnic problems
at the Stavropol regional council of people's deputies.
He has published 45 scientific and scientific - methodical papers in the field
of the theory of law and constitutional law.
